Why choose mDEX?

The mDEX exchange network was created on the basis of the demand of physicians who need to send medical documentation regardless of the format of the data being sent and in the simplest possible way. mDEX was therefore designed to allow all types of medical documentation to be sent through one secure channel.

The mDEX network uses state-of-the-art technology and is completely independent of the information system you use in your healthcare facility. Thanks to the API, mDEX can be connected to other systems in a simple way to allow users greater comfort in their work.

During the development of the exchange network, the greatest emphasis was placed on the security and speed of the data being transmitted. The actual sending takes place in encrypted stream mode, where the data is not stored anywhere outside healthcare facilities and is sent directly to a designated place in real time.

What can I send via mDEX?

It is possible to send any medical documentation through mDEX, whether image (in DICOM format) or text (in other formats, for example, txt, pdf, HL7, DaSta, …).

Does our device have to have PACS from OR-CZ to connect to mDEX?

mDEX is independent of PACS system, therefore it is not necessary to use MARIE PACS from OR-CZ for operation. But if you have MARIE PACS, you can take advantage of all the benefits that the combination of mDEX and MARIE PACS brings.

Who can connect to mDEX?

Any health service provider can join the mDEX network, be it a hospital, a private ambulance or a stand-alone doctor.

How is connection to mDEX done?

How much does it cost to join mDEX?

You will be informed of the specific terms by our sales representative with whom you will communicate. However, we always do our best to meet the requirements of the customer.

How is the security of data transmission addressed?

Data is protected by double encryption and transfers are secured by multi-factor authentication. The exchange network software uses the OWASP Top 10 automatic dependency vulnerability check and is regularly subject to penetration tests by Crashtest Security (following the acquisition of Veracode).

Does mDEX need to have inbound ports enabled for data reception?

No, only outgoing ports to the internet are used for communication via mDEX.

Where can I find a list of all connected devices?

A list of all currently connected healthcare facilities is available at www.mdex.cz and www.mdex.sk. The list is not definitive; connected facilities are constantly growing in number.
